Meadway Shipping Singapore Pte Ltd is part of the Meadway Shipping and Trading Inc. group of companies, was registered at the end of 2010 and the company started operating on the 1st of May 2011.

Meadway Shipping Singapore Pte Ltd, since its establishment, was strategically geared to apply for the Approved International Shipping Enterprise (AIS) Scheme, qualification that was finally awarded by MPA of Singapore in October 2011. Companies qualifying for the AIS scheme require to present and maintain a strong business plan and to demonstrate on a continuous basis a good performance record.

In April 2012, Meadway Shipping Singapore Pte Ltd has been registered as Statutory Member of THE SINGAPORE BUSINESS FEDERATION (SBF) which is the apex business chamber in Singapore.

Meadway Shipping Singapore Pte Ltd, as member of the AIS scheme, with immediate effect has taken over and will expand all the operating activities of Meadway Bulk Corp., the already well established operating arm of Meadway Shipping and Trading.

Organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) during Singapore Maritime Week, the biennial International Maritime Awards (IMA) recognises individuals and companies for their outstanding contributions to Singapore's advancement as a premier global hub port and an international maritime centre.
